A Nanonets alternative for when you just need the JSON

Nanonets has grown into a workflow platform: each step of a document process is a priced block, and data extraction is a "Complex AI" block at $0.30 a run. Their own pricing page estimates a typical invoice workflow at 4–6 blocks, under $2 an invoice end-to-end, with ongoing usage at $100 a month for 100 credits.

If what you actually need is the extraction step — a document in, clean JSON out, handed to your own code or agent — you are paying platform prices for one block.

AIDataParser does only that step: POST the document with a JSON Schema and get schema-validated JSON back for one credit, charged only on success. Packs are one-time — $9 for 500 documents — with no monthly plan.

Pick Nanonets if you want

  • Full workflow automation — classification, approvals, ERP and database connectors, custom Python blocks.
  • Enterprise needs: SSO/SCIM, HIPAA and SOC 2, private-cloud or on-prem deployment, data residency.
  • A team UI for reviewing and correcting documents.

Pick AIDataParser if you want

  • One-time credit packs — no monthly plan, nothing to cancel. Credits never expire, so a quiet month costs $0.
  • A JSON API first: POST a file and a JSON Schema, get back data validated against that schema, with a confidence score and review_needed flag.
  • Agent-native: a hosted MCP server (/v1/mcp) and llms.txt, so Claude, Cursor, or your own agent can call it as a tool.
  • Try it on this page with your own text — no signup, no card.

FAQ

Does it replace a whole Nanonets workflow?

No. It replaces the extraction step. Routing, approvals, and ERP posting stay in your own code, Zapier/n8n, or agent — which is often where they already live.

How is a document counted?

One successful extraction is one credit, whatever schema you pass. Failed extractions are not charged.

Can I try it without a sales call?

Yes — the box on this page runs a real extraction with no signup, and a free API key with 50 credits needs only an email.
